Mike Riddle - Apologetics 1.01 - Answering the Challenges
Mike
Riddle is one of Answers In Genesis most dynamic and passionate
creation speakers in the USA.
Mike holds a degree in mathematics and a graduate degree
in education. He has been involved in creation ministry for
more than twenty years, and has gained such a good reputation,
that he is often a keynote speaker at many meetings, including
various home-school conferences in the United States.
Before becoming involved in creation ministry, Mike was a
US Marine (rising to the rank of captain) and during his career
as a Marine, appeared on a widely distributed recruiting poster
for the Marines. Mike says that his goal with AiG is to have
the Marines' famous Latin motto semper fi ("always faithful")
be applied to his ministry of travelling around America (and
overseas) to proclaim the creation/gospel message (and thus
fittingly fulfilling the Apostle Peter's command to be faithful
in being "ready always to give an answer" - 1 Peter
3:15).
Before becoming a Marine, Mike became a US national champion
in the track-and-field version of the pentathlon (in 1976).
His best events were the 400 metres, javelin, long jump and
1,500 metres. In his professional life, Mike worked for many
years in the computer field with Microsoft.

evangelist to the Jews and a Bible teacher elaborating on
the original Judeo-Christian background and hermeneutics of

that we are in the Last Days approaching the return of Christ
and that contemporary events in The Middle East; the moral
deterioration of society; the destruction of the environment;
the globalisation of the world economy; the rise of a pseudo-democratic
federal Europe and above all, the apostasy in the contemporary
church, are all events of prophetic significance eschatologically.

Friday 10th September Dr Garth Gilmour-
"The times in which we live"
Garth will be speaking about Jesus' first words recorded in
Mark's Gospel (Mark 1:15). Although not widely acknowledged
by the believing church, scripture makes clear that the restoration
of Israel in our day is and always was meant to be a critical
element in God's salvation plan for the whole world, and Garth
will be looking at some of the biblical evidence for this.
Garth
is a Biblical Archaeologist with over twenty years experience
in excavations, research and publication. He received his
MA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1991 and his
Doctorate from the University of Oxford in 1995. He has excavated
at a variety of sites in Israel, Cyprus and Turkey, including
at the Philistine capital cities of Ekron and Ashkelon. Speaking
widely on the Archaeology of Ancient Israel, he seeks to relate
the evidence from the ground to the biblical text so as to
illustrate the people, places and events that form the context
in which the biblical account is set. He also teaches from
the Scriptures, seeking to make the Church aware of her Jewish
roots and her ongoing commitment to Israel.
Garth is a Senior Fellow at the W.F. Albright Institute of
Archaeological Research in Jerusalem, a Research Associate
at the University of Oxford, and Administrator of the European
Association of Jewish Studies, based at Yarnton, near Oxford.
He and his wife Vibeke are members of St Aldates Church,
Oxford.

Friday 12th November Dr Robert Congdon
- "Solving the Mystery Feast the Feast of Trumpets!
- It it not the New Year, so what is it? A study of the three
historical events in the Bible reveal the real meaning of the
Feast in prophecy.
Dr.
Robert Congdon, an international Bible teacher and speaker,
has conducted numerous pastoral seminars; is a frequent guest
on the radio, both nationally and internationally; has taught
at several Bible institutes; has pastored two churches; has
authored theological articles and two books; is a member of
a Christian theological think-tank; and has produced
several Christian video productions; in addition to his six-year
resident ministry in the United Kingdom. Residing in the United
Kingdom, as British Field Representative of the Friends of
Israel Gospel Ministry, Rob has offered insight into the rapid
growth of the European Union [EU] and its potential consequences
upon modern day Christianity and Christian missions. Having
been involved internationally in industry as well as ministering
in the United Kingdom, Canada, the Bahamas, the United States,
and Europe, Rob has witnessed first hand the spiritual collapse
of Christianity in Europe and the United Kingdom. That collapse
is a direct consequence of the churches failure to employ
the correct Biblical solutions to the theological and cultural
assaults aimed at them by both the EU and church growth movements,
such as the Purpose-Driven/Emergent Church. These assaults
have now come to US and Canadian churches. It is the purpose
of Congdon Ministries International to inform, warn, teach,
and assist churches in the US, Britain, Europe, and Canada
to contend for the faith and thus avoid the pitfalls that
spiritually destroyed the churches in Europe. Rob teaches
and stresses the need to better understand the Scriptures
and the Author of the Scriptures, in order to prepare to serve
the Lord in both the Millennium and in the age to come, the
New Heaven and Earth.
While his emphasis is upon prophetic teaching, his messages
cover the entire range of the Scriptures. Rob holds a Bachelors
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois;
a Masters of Divinity degree from Grace Theological
Seminary; and a Doctor of Theology degree from Trinity Theological
Seminary (Newburgh, IN). He is the founder and director of
the Internet Bible Institute whose students come from Canada,
the United States, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
His ministry is under the auspices of New Life Baptist
Church in Naperville, Illinois.
